LEADER
Our primary caregiver & teacher at CO Sunshine Adventure is Kristen Edick. Kristen is a retired teacher. She taught for six years primarily in 1st grade in Academy School District 20 and District 38 in Monument! Miss. Kristen has her bachelor's degree in Leadership Communication and her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. Her passion in life has always been working with the tiny humans of the world! She truly believes every child is unique and special in his/her own way and those differences need to be celebrated! Miss. Kristen is a relationship-based teacher & caregiver. She believes parents and teachers need to work hand in hand to ensure all children are supported and encouraged. Communication is key! She will always provide a warm, loving, safe, FUN and supportive learning environment! Kristen is now a licensed childcare provider in the state of Colorado and is excited and eager to care for and teach your child!

HISTORY
CO Sunshine Adventure began as a dream in January of 2021 and soon became a reality on May 3rd, 2021. Miss. Kristen spent her childhood wanting to be two things in life; a mom and a teacher. After pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Communication and a Master’s in Elementary Education, she taught for six years primarily in first grade and loved the excitement and enthusiasm of each day. In December of 2020, Miss. Kristen’s daughter was born. About a month later after many discussions on what going back to teaching looked like, CO Sunshine Adventure was dreamt, and quickly became a reality. In those 4 short months through passion, determination, many cups of coffee, and a vision for the future, Miss. Kristen became a licensed in-home childcare provider in the state of Colorado, and CO Sunshine Adventure opened its doors May 3rd, 2021.
Today CO Sunshine Adventure passionately serves families in the northern Colorado Springs area and provides exceptional, quality care and education to children of all ages.

Our mission at Co Sunshine Adventure is to foster a love of learning through curiosity, collaboration, and play. We value and celebrate each child’s individual abilities, differences, and strengths.
We believe a child’s work is play. Children learn best as well as develop socially and emotionally through engaging in a variety of age-appropriate activities in a safe, communicative, and nurturing environment.

CO Sunshine Adventure is in compliance with the Colorado Childcare licensing requirements. Our preschool is evaluated on several areas of compliance, including supervision, emergency preparedness, age-appropriate activities, safety, meal services, and much more. Each standard is purposefully designed to exceed state-regulated requirements to put your mind at ease while your child is in our care.
